Foods you should avoid to have an acne free skin

To have a clear and flawless skin we should be careful of what we eat as what we eat is how you are; especially people suffering from acne problems should eat the right kind of foods.  Eating the wrong kind of foods causes acne and it is therefore necessary to avoid the wrong food to achieve a clear unblemished skin.  Acne is a big problem especially among teenagers.  They get concerned with their looks and if they suffer from acne and pimples then they lose their confidence.

Whatever we eat affects the body and people suffering from acne problem should eat less of salt as excess salt is bad for health.  Processed and pre packed food should be avoided; eating a huge amount of salt causes acne breakouts and irritates the skin.  Besides acne, excess salt can also affect your cardiovascular as well as circulatory system.  Hence food like cheese, luncheon meats, junk food, ham, bacon, canned sauces should be avoided.  Intake of excessive fatty food increases the sebum production which leads to an increase of oil glands in the skin pores which can lead to acne due to the excess fat deposited.  Therefore you should eat less fat and eat foods that are high in good cholesterol like oat meal, high fiber foods, fish that are rich in omega 3 like tuna, sardines, mackerel and salmon. Avoid artificial sweeteners as they contain chemicals that can irritate your skin this causing acne breakout.  Hence it is better to have the brown or organic sugar.  Avoid foods that contain caffeine like coffee, tea, cola, and chocolates as caffeine being a stimulant disrupts the sleeping pattern which causes stress affecting the levels of hormones which can lead to acne problems.

It is therefore important to decrease or avoid the intake of the above foods for achieving a clear skin.  Herbal anti-acne supplements are also very effective and safe and help overcome acne problems giving you a flawless acne free skin without any side effects.
