Eleven Acne Types and Causes!!

Acne is an awful affliction that too many people are forced to live with. It affects teenagers, children and adults. Acne is mainly an inflammatory disease of the skin that has various causes. However based on the causes, acne is of 11 types as mentioned below:-

Acne detergents: - This type of acne is caused by detergents, soaps and cleansers which cause irritation to the skin.

Acne Conglobata: - This type of acne may be caused due to hereditary factors. People suffer from Acne Conglobata if their parents suffered from severe acne. It may results in severe scarring on the affected area.

Acne Cosmetic: - It is caused by prolonged use of cosmetics that irritates the skin. In this acne, your pores react negatively to the ingredients present in cosmetics.

Acne Fulminans: - A person who suffers from acne fulminans experiences loss of appetite, skin scaring and high WBC count. It is the serious type of acne that is characterized by flu-like symptoms when the lesions erupt

Acne Excoriee: - It is mainly caused by skin picking which then affects other parts of the body.

Acne Keloidalis: - In this type of acne, lesions and inflammations generally appear on the neck.

Acne Mallorca: - It is caused by excessive sun exposure.

Acne Medicametosa: - It is caused due to the side-effect of medications like oral contraceptives, anti-psychotic drugs and mood stabilizers.

Acne Mechanica: - Exposure of bare skin to various irritants like bag straps and clothing fabrics may results in Acne Mechanica.

Acne Neonatorium: - It occurs due to the transfer of hormones from the mother to the infant. Excessive sebum secretion in children is the main cause of this type of acne.

Acne Pomade: - The irritating ingredients present in hair products may leads to this type of acne.
