Prescription, Non-prescription and herbal Treatments for Acne!!

There are a plethora of medications flooded in the market for acne. Acne is a skin problem which is characterized by the occurrence of pimples, whiteheads, blackheads and cysts on back, shoulder, face and upper chest. These medications include prescription, non-prescription and herbal drugs.

Prescription Acne Medications:

Accutane is one of the best medications for severe cystic acne. It is a chemical derivative of vitamin A and also known as “Miracle drug”. However it has adverse side-effects which can be worse than the acne itself.

Other prescription medications include Retin A and Renova. These are the derivatives of vitamin A which clears the skin from wrinkles, lines, skin discolorations etc.

Non-prescription Acne Medications:

These are over-the-counter medications which include benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid. Benzoyl peroxide is an affordable, easily available and effective medication that works by penetrating the skin pores and thus eliminates the acne. However Salicylic acid works by removing the top layers of dead skin cells.

Herbal Acne Medications:

It includes FitoDerm which is not only an herbal medication but also a non-prescription drug for acne. It is completely natural with no adverse side-effects like Accutane. It reduces wrinkles, clears blemishes, pimples and makes your skin look fresh and beautiful. FitoDerm purifies blood and removes toxins from the body.
